Le Spiaggette di Scoglitti, Sicilia

Scoglitti, Sicily

A balmy evening along the little beaches of Scoglitti… perfect for a stroll.

The sun sets, taking the heat of the day with it.  The beach you sat on earlier now hosts a bride and groom posing for their wedding photos.

In the snug little harbor, the boats rock ever so gently on the calm water.

The piazza is somewhat empty – for now.  The walkers find their way to family dinners on cozy patios.

They will be returning to town, though. Decorative lights are being lit for the festival celebrating San Francesco di Paola, opening tonight!

…A fond memory of an evening near the little beaches of Scoglitti.

My previous comment wich was nullified because of an perceived errow was more informatie than the present one. Suffice it to say. I loved Sicily when I last visited in 1996 and hope to once again, before being called to my ETERNAL
    HOME,………….Hopefully on HIGH.

    Hi Maryanne,
Beautiful photos! I will try to visit this spot in my travels.
I saw you are an artist and wondered did you know of any small locales for art in the Milan area? Maybe some artists’ exhibits not as well known as the usual tourist spots. I am expecting to travel there in the August/Sept. timeframe.
Any info on that area or nearby would be appreciated.
Hope you have a nice day.

    Regards,
    Geraldine

Hi, Geraldine! I am afraid that I don’t have that kind of knowledge to pass on to you; but many of the contributors here live in Italy and do have expertise about all kinds of venues in Italy. Why don’t you re-post your question the next time one of them writes about Milan? Milan has been a popular topic in the past, I’m sure it will appear again.
