The acoustics were reasonable but not exceptional. Summer temperatures can be extreme, 37 degrees Celsius and in that case the stone building becomes a stove. Bring water and a fan and bring or rent a cushion in case you end up on the stone gallery. The experience is fantastic! I saw this amphitheater when I was I Verona this past fall - it looked like a miniature Coliseum and was pretty much right in the middle of things if it's the building I'm thinking of.
