Only in Rome…

May 17, 2012 / Local Interest
Rome, Italy

Two workers were fussing about and unloading something from the back of their parked moving truck as I walked past. About 100 feet later I happened to turn around and saw them approaching. It only lasted a few seconds, time for them to walk by and tuck into a side street, but it was one of those Rome-only moments that speaks volumes about the city.

Fellini would have been proud…

So funny but what I am most impressed with is how quickly you pulled out the camera phone and captured it on video! Nice. Toni

what was the fuss about — who should carry the feet? They seemed pretty darn happy, either way!

To this day Roma IS Fellini, totally. When I lived in the city everyday I used to wonder if I was living in one of his movies. Roma is one big theater with many of her citizens at stage center, che gioia, I love the city sooo much! Thank you G.B.

We experienced a “Rome Only” moment at the Vatican. A couple of Italian men, “fussing about” as they transfer a piece of antiquity from one place to the other. Precious!
